Letters

Submit a letter - become one of the voices.

The people of South Sudan will in July this year be celebrating the first anniversary of their independence. Their country is at the beginning of a long path towards development. There is much debate about what should be done. The idea of these letters is to give everyone a chance to contribute to this debate.

Thinking about the experiences of your country, thinking about what you feel worked and what didn't: what piece of advice, warnings, ideas or just thoughts do you have to pass along to the people of South Sudan?

We welcome all contributions - you can write it about whatever you think played, is playing or should play an important role in your country's development process. Letters can be about broader issues, such as politics, human rights or governance, but wherever possible, we encourage your letters to be specific and based on examples or experiences in your country (or a developing country you have lived in).

If you want to submit a letter, please email it to letterstojuba@gmail.com  Letters should be no longer than 300 words. Please also include your name, age, the country you are from and what you do.

If you don't want to write a letter, but rather just want to send a few words of support and encouragement to the people of South Sudan, please feel free to do so by commenting at the bottom of this page, or emailing letterstojuba@gmail.com Your messages will be shared with hundreds of people there.

The first letters will be uploaded here soon.
